About us

was founded in March 2015 with the main aim to give children with little or no experience of classical music the opportunity to engage in a live performance by a chamber ensemble. Our interactive concerts help children to become active listeners, engage with the various sounds of the instruments in our chamber ensembles and their different musical contributions each instrument makes to a piece. Our guided listening activities – which may also include moving to the music, imitating sounds, and developing words or stories around the pieces – familiarise children with live classical music close up, a chance that hardly any of the children participating would have otherwise.

The positive responses from school teachers and children alike encourage us to develop a wider range of interactive concerts and offer our activities to more schools than we have so far.

What a wonderful opportunity for the children to have. It was a unique chance for them to hear the talent of musicians and respond to the music through carefully selected questioning”
